CATRA offers frequent training clinics assisting volunteers in learning the basics of grooming, tacking, leading, and side-walking.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Many volunteers come to CATRA having little or no experience with horses. Although “on-the-job” training is a great way to become more knowledgeable and helpful as a volunteer, CATRA’s clinics offer an opportunity to gain education and experience in the areas that will benefit you as a volunteer. The training is free and open to all CATRA volunteers and interested community members.
Beyond volunteer training, CATRA also offers horsemanship clinics for individuals who are interested in learning more about the many aspects of equine knowledge. Topics include communication, ground work, lunging basics, and more. Unless otherwise indicated, all programs are free and open to the public. Registration required.
