Shellsville VFW Picnic Grounds

Tanner Engle Memorial

Benefit Motorcycle Ride
Saturday, August 25, 2018

The Tanner Engle Memorial Motorcycle Ride benefiting CATRA began in August of 2012 and has quickly become one of CATRA’s largest annual fundraisers.

Initiated in 2011 by volunteers Tim and Deb Raber, the ride committee came together and undertook the task of creating the inaugural ride.  Response from the community was strong and continues to grow every year.

The 2018 Miles for Smiles ride takes place on Saturday, August 25.

Each year riders leave from the Shellsville VFW picnic grounds, 343 N. Crawford Road, Shellsville, PA 17078.  The scenic 60-mile cross-country route moves through the Capital region of Pennsylvania and returns to the VFW picnic grounds for a huge celebration.  A delicious, fully catered meal, entertainment, door prizes, and a silent auction are all part of the afternoon’s festivities.

Riders who register on or before Friday, August 3 will receive a free ride t-shirt.  The $25 registration fee covers

  • Coffee & Donuts
  • 60-mile scenic ride
  • Catered lunch
  • Music & Entertainment
  • Door Prizes
  • Silent Auction

The cost for an additional rider is $20.  Meal only cost is $15.

The Tanner Engle Memorial Benefit Motorcycle Ride welcomes sponsorship from local, regional, and national business organizations.  CATRA offers a variety of sponsorship levels to support the ride.  Sponsor logos are included on the event t-shirt and in a variety of ways on social media, newsletter, webpage, and other CATRA events.  Sign on early to ensure your logo on marketing materials.  We also appreciate in-kind donations to be used as door prizes, silent auction items, and more.  Contact us for more information about Memorial Ride sponsorships.
