The Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association is an all-volunteer organization.
Undesignated donations will be used where most needed.
You may also designate how you would like your donated funds to be used.
This fund is named in memory of Judd, a miniature horse Appaloosa born at CATRA on August 13, 2013. Visit Judd’s page to learn more about his time with us.
Donations contributed to this fund will be used for rider scholarships. Families are never turned away due to lack of ability to pay. Your contribution will allow CATRA to continue to serve the needs of the community.
Horse Show Ribbons
Every Summer CATRA hosts 4 regional horse shows. The shows are open to the public. Groups for both typical needs and special needs riders are offered. Ribbons through 8th place are awarded. Your contribution to the Horse Show Ribbon fund offsets the significant cost of the show ribbons.
In addition to the many horses and ponies utilized in therapeutic riding, CATRA is also home to goats, chickens, cats, and dogs. Each animal holds a special place for the riders, volunteers, and family members who come to CATRA throughout the year. Contributions to this fund help to ensure CATRA’s ability to care for its animal residents in the best way possible.
